The external disk is GUID as Winclone informs me this is required when attempting to clone to an MBR partition scheme. Winclone 10 is the complete solution for protecting your Boot Camp Windows system against data loss and for moving your Boot Camp partition to a new Mac. Windows 10 is up-to-date and chkdsk has been run on both the Boot Camp partition (disk0s4) prior to cloning and the external disk (disk1s2) post-cloning.
Winclone appears to clone the partition to the external disk successfully and does not report any errors, but upon ⌥-booting, the disk is not shown in the Startup Manager. The ideal way seems to be with Winclone, however I've been unsuccessful so far. So that brings me back to the present using VM FUSION the problem i have now is i get this messageI'm trying to move my Windows 10 Boot Camp partition to an external drive. I looked on Winclone forum and saw that other people on there had the same problem about the different block sizes of the drives and that it did not have the WIM file i managed to get that on with Magnimum Reflect.I tried it again and still came up with the same message i take it that is a standard message about block size and about not having the WIM file.And Tim agreed that it was touch and go to get it on an external drive.So i asked it i could haave a refund they were very quick doing that.I am disapointed that it could not be moved to an external drive.Thanks for mentioning about Acronis not being able to do the task.
I took it off mine after trying to get it from Bootcamp to an external drive ,it did not work. I have ticked fully access for it and folled this video same message came up I Please make sure that the kernel module `vmmon' is loaded.
